RGB and LRV Values

The amount of light reflectance each colour provides can influence the amount of heat absorption. Light colours reflect the most amount of light, which means little energy is absorbed and the surface remains cool. Dark colours absorb the most light, therefore can increase the temperature of the surface. As a general rule, lighter colours have a higher LRV value and darker colours have a lower LRV value.

The RGB colour model is an additive colour model in which red, green and blue light are added together in various ways to reproduce a broad array of colours.
